Cleopatra after week 2

Stitching

Here is Cleopatra after stitching on here for another two weeks. There really isn't anything to show right now, but I am moving right along. I have put in 2100 stitches in her over the past two weeks. I am very impressed with myself. This is 45 pages long. I started from the bottom this time. I have never done that lol. There is a first time for everything.

Christmas

It was a good Christmas! It wasn't like I planned but, the kids had a good one. Skylar got Elmos. He was thrilled with them. Then he got a race track. He had a pretty good Christmas. Miranda and Justin had a good one also. They both got some winter coats which they needed, and shirts and other stuff. Ariel and I got gift cards. I got a gift card to Barnes and Noble. So I went in and got a new book. All in all we had a good Christmas!

Other stuff

Just wanted everyone to know. Internet may be down for a while, just until I get a job. I am hoping that it doesn't, I am hoping they will be nice and leave it on until I can get a job! But I promise I will keep in touch. I won't be gone long if they disconnect it

My Wipocalypse 2012 list

Well I definitely think I am crazy! I have entered a challenge. So I am going to sit here and try to list what I want to stitch and finish. So here goes nothing.

  1. All Hallows Eve (HAED)
  2. Victory Garden by Paula Vaughn
  3. Patchwork Village by Linda Myers
  4. Fly Butterfly (HAED)
  5. Cleopatra Queen of Egypt (HAED)
I think that is all I am going to try and do for now. I am just to stretched to try and add anything else to it. I would never get anything done.

Stitching notes for the week

Stitching

This is my HAED for my oldest daughter. It is All Hallows Eve I am stitching it on 14 count aida. I screwed up when I first started it and then I realized the fabric was turned the wrong way! It is coming along nicely. I usually do rotation and work on projects for one week, but I think I am going to keep working on this until I get frustrated or tired of it. I know I have all these other I need to do lol.
k
On a very nice note. I received a RAK today from a friend on facebook, I knew she was sending it, just didn't know when she was going to send it lol. She sent me some very nice patterns. I am anxious to start some of them. But I have 4 I need to finish. So I will be a good girl and wait. I also received another Rak from a friend and it was Cleopatra it is also a HAED. In my Rak gift that I received, I received fabric for it. So as you can see I really want to start something from my gift box.

Other news

Not really much on the home front. I still haven't put my tree up yet. I know I am putting it off, but I just haven't really felt like it and that is unusual for me. I usually have it up the day after Christmas. My mother is going to get the presents for the kids for me, which is a big help. Thank goodness they haven't asked for anything really big. I think the only major big thing I wanted was for the baby. So I think that is about it.

I am still searching for a job, not had much luck, but I am not giving up. I have an interview next week, with Staples. So I am keeping my fingers crossed. That will help if so much.

Have a great stitching week!

My stitching updates and woes for the week

 Stitching news!

Well another week has passed and I started yet another project.  I am really insane!  It is called Patchwork Village by Linda Myers.  I was given this chart a long time ago, by another stitcher.  It is coming along nicely.  I stitched on it yesterday all day, off and on while watching Harry Potter.  I now have 4 starts in rotation.  I need to get these done, before I add something else!

Other news!

Well I may have a job!  Yippee!  I am hoping to hear from someone soon!  I was nervous about going in and talking with them, but I think I did okay.   So keep your fingers crossed for me!

The kids are driving me bonkers about putting up the tree, I haven't even put it up yet!  Truthfully I wasn't really in the mood, because I didn't know if I was going to be able to keep furniture or not, but thankfully I am.  So it looks like I will be putting the tree up today or this weekend.  It really depends.

Exciting news!

My daughter's boyfriend is going to propose to her on Christmas Day!  She doesn't know it, but he told me.  I am so happy for them.  So as soon as that happens I will post pics and all that.

Another stitching project!

I think I am crazy! But I have started another project. It is called Snowman from Mystic Stitch. It is going to be a cute one I think. I really needed to start another one not lol. But hey I did. It is coming along , I have been taking time on this one.

I have been trying to decide if I want to add other stuff to blog, and I like what other people have done, like adding things to where they can view tutorials or things like that. I just want to make mine more appealking. I don't know.

My ankle is getting better and doesn't hurt as much. It is still sore a little, but that is okay. I think I have a job. I applied to a website called Virtual Assistant. Someone told me about it, so I am going to see what I need to do. Hopefully it will pan out. It would really be nice.

Well off to get more stitching done! Happy Stitching!

Stitching and other stuff

This week

Well this week has been interesting. I was taking my daughter to the bus stop, and I went to step off the sidewalk and boom I fell and sprained my ankle. When I fell I had my son in my arms, thank goodness he didn't get hurt. I broke his fall. But I skinned my elbow, and sprained my ankle, only to find out later on in the week after going to the er that it is fractured. It is a hair line fracture, but still. It doesn't hurt, but I have to keep it elevated and iced. I was so embrassed. But thank goodness for the guard at the gate of our apartment community. So I am sitting here ankle elevated and iced and stitching

Stitching update

Stitching wise, I have been trying to get some in, but it seems like I can't lol. My son is constantly wanting my attention, but that is okay. i have a picture that I will add of my stitching. I am still pounding away on Victory Garden. It is starting to come along. I changed fabric because my bulb for my OTT lite broke, and I couldn't see the holes. So I am redoing it on 14 count aida. It is looking good so far.

I need to get some more projects finished and started. So I think I am going to go back to UFO week and try to get them worked on and see if I can't get something finished. I would like to have at least one finish this year or the beginning of next year.

I would like to get some more fabric. But I need money for that lol. So I need to get a job. The working from home is harder than I thought. I am going to keep pounding away at it and not give up. I am going to see if I can't get a part time job somewhere for right now.

Well I am off to try to get some stitching done, and all that good stuff!

Stitching finally!

Stitching!

Finally have been able to restart Victory Garden! I didn't get to do much because I had migraine for three days. It was not a good feeling. I am finally able to function!
As I said I was able to get some stitching done on Victory Garden that I had to restart! I am hoping to pull out Fly Butterfly, my HAED and get moving on that for my daughter1 Miranda has been bugging me about it. lol

Other things!

Well the work from home isn't going well. Tupperware is slow. I am hoping to have some pretty good sales from it this month and next month, for the holidays. I am hoping so! I am trying to find a job but there isn't a whole lot out there. It is really hard, and it is stressing me out. I think that is part of the reason that I have been having migraines. I really hate it! I need money for my stash!

Weekly stitching

On my group on Facebook, I have started a weekly and stitching chat! I am hoping that this will help all the members to get to know each other. It will be so much fun!

Well I am off and going to get some stitching done and all that good stuff!

Another week has passed

This week has been kind of weird. My unemployment was cut, but that is okay. I am filing for an extension. I don't know if I will get it or not. But I can try. I also have a job interview. I didn't want to go outside of the home, but the work from home thing wasn't working out like I wanted it to. I am not giving up on that though. I am still going to do it when I am off.

Stitching has been kind of a hurdle. My 2 year old got a hold of my scissors and cut my fabric, and ruined what I was stitching. I wanted to cry, but instead I screamed. I scared him and he ran. I think he wasn't sure what was going on. So....I have restart Victory Garden all over again on another piece of fabric. I was a little upset about it, but I thought about it, and my poor eyes are getting to the point I can't see on linen anymore, so I am going to switch back to Aida at least for now, until I can get a new bulb for my OTT lite.

Time to scoot, sorry it isn't a very long post.

Sunday stitching update

Floss Organization Well I managed to get some of the floss organized and in photo box. I still have another container full and bags to organize. It took me a while, but I did get it started. I am rather pleased with the photo boxes and going to keep using them.
Stitching Kittens is done for the week. This is what I have done this week. It is coming along. I am rather pleased with it so far. The browns and all that started running together, so I decided to rotate out this week. I needed a break from it this week.
This is what I have started on this week. It is a HAED called Fly Butterfly. It is a fairy that I am stitching for my 14 year old daughter. She like it because of all the purple in it. Believe me there is a lot of purple in it. But that is okay I rather like it. It is a freebie from their site. I am also doing this as a SAL on HAED blog site. I am inspired by some of the sttiching on there, and am going to work on this as much as I can this week. It is supposed to be hot, so I am not moving from my nice cool apartment.
Other stuff
This week has been kind of long. I am not sure why. But it has. Right now I am working on getting apartment the way I want it and that is a long drawn out process. But it is moving slowly. The kids have really helped a lot, and thank goodness they have.
Skylar said Hey dude last night. It was so cute. Ariel my oldest was flipping out it was just to cute. Miranda has been reading alot, Justin well he is a boy so he is bored. lol what boy isn't. He doesn't want to read or anything like that, he wants to be on the computer. I told him that he was going to find other things to do until we go to the beach this week. He is just tired of being cooped up, and I very much understand.

Stitching update

Organization

Well I tried to organize these in order and didn't quite get them that way. I wanted to have them on the side so I could describe them, but.....
Anyway I started organizing stitching stash and things. I am trying to get UFOS together for a group I am a member of on yahoo. So I went into my bedroom where I keep my UFOS and my stash, and well I kind of wanted to post some of these and I didn't.; Please excuse the mess. I found patterns and UFOS everywhere. lol I mean that literally. As you can see from some of the pictures. I found some of my beads that I have stored in plastic containers, but thanks to Meari, I am going to go to Dollar Tree and find the pill cases that she used. Thanks Meari :)))) One of the pictures, please don't pass out. It is my closet and yes that is laundry. Our washing machines are broken in the building, and I couldn't get into my closet to get to the rest of my stash. I felt horrible after I saw that picture. I wanted to cry. bI have called the management here in apartment complex and they tell me that the company had to order new machines, that was a month ago. I have tried to go to parents house, but I have touch laundry for them lol. SO I am off to the laundry mat when i get paid. It really bites. Good thing is that Skylar's father is washing some of the clothes for me.
I am getting off topic here. Today I did organize some of my floss into the photo box that I have. That is finished. I am going to get another one next week to put rest of floss in it. I didn't realize how much floss I have. It is amazing.

New Toy for Me

I bought myself the Nook. I love it, I am still getting used to reading from it instead of a book. But I still have books that I need to read, but I really like this one. I can put it in my purse and take it with me. It is so cool. I am still learning to use it, but I really like it alot. Now my daughter Miranda wants one. I think that is great. I know she likes to read. So I think that is something I am going to get her for Christmas. She goes in her room and reads all day long, it is just cool.

Stitching progress

Kittens is looking good. As you can see from the picture. I backstitch as I go, and the kitten popped right out at me. I was so pleased with it. I stitched about 600 stitches today. I can't believe it lol. I wanted to stitch 1,000 but I know that isn't going to happen with the kids getting stir crazy. But I am rather please with my progress so far.

Stitching update a day early

Stitching update
This is what I have done so far on Kittens. I am not stopping it this week. I am enjoying this to much. So I am going to keep stitching it for another week. I am excited. I can see one of the kittens now. I can't wait to get to the other ones. I am loving this. I did have to frog a couple of stitches, but other than that so far I am counting it right. I think this is the first one I haven't had to fudge. I am so proud of myself.

My daughter and her best friend (my adopted) daughter

This is a picture of my oldest and her best friend Sonya. She is like my other daughter. They look almost alike and it isn't even funny. She gets mistaken for being my daughter. We laugh and think that it is neat.
Last but not least my new furniture

This is my new furniture we just bought. The recliner is mine lol as you can see I have already claimed it. I told the kids not to even think about sitting in it as it is my stitching chair. The sofa is all theirs. As you can see Skylar has already claimed the couch. Lol. I finally have my living room starting to look the way I want it to and the way it used to look. I am so excited. lol. Now on to the next room which is Justin and Miranda's room.

I know two days in a row lol

These pictures are of two of my children Ariel and Skylar. He is a mess, he loves to have his picture taken. He is the biggest ham when it comes to having his picture taken. Ariel is just the same way. You would think that now that she is 18 she wouldn't be that way, but she just loves to have her picture taken also.

I don't get to post a whole lot about me and the kids, but I decided today was a good day as any.

We ran errands today, and got diapers and things we needed around the house. I bought a Nook today from Barnes and NOble, and I am loving it. I am still trying to get used to it, since I am used to reading regular books, not used to holding a little IPAD looking thing, but I am getting used to trying it out. It is rather different. But I do like it.

I dyed my hair today and I am now blonde. I think lol. My daughter Miranda says that I am but who knows lol. They are already driving me crazy and it is only second day of summer vacation. I could just scream. But I am trying to deal lol. I am so glad I have stitching to keep me calm.

Speaking of which, I did stitch 100 stitiches this morning on Kittens, and it is looking good. I will have a picture when I do update on Friday. Well off to get the kids in bed, and get some stitching done.

Stitching no so update/add on

This is a not an update, but this is what I am working on for the week. I am about 5 percent done with it. I used to have the progress percentage bars that I could keep track but don't have them anymore. I really liked using them. It is coming along. I am not fudging this. I am doing pretty good keeping track of my stitches, and so far so good;.

Stitching update

First I decided to start a new blog. This one is for stitching and life, the other one I think I am going to use for reading. It will be hard to keep track but that is okay.

Well here is a weekly picture of my afghan. The birdhouse is coming along nicely. I am excited at how it is coming along and turning out. I was a little worried because I had to sub some colors that I didn't have and I was rather pleased with the turn out. I don't like changing colors to much but this time I am impressed.

Now I am on to stitch my next one in rotation.

Stitching update/new blog

Well this is a new blog for stitching, for some reason I can't post to the other one. I will definitely post pics to this one of all stitching.
